Visioneers.org is a division of World Access For The Blind, (hereinafter referred to as “Visioneers/WAFTB”, “we” and “our”), a 501(c)3 non-profit charity registered in, subject to, and governed by the laws and regulations of, the United States of America and the State of California since 2000. Our affiliated websites include Visioneers.at (Austria), and Visioneers.no (Norway) and operate as independent organizations subject to, and governed by the laws and regulations for non-profit entities in their respective countries.

It is our pleasure, as part of our mission to teach blind and visually impaired persons, their family members, friends, colleagues and blindness professionals to “see through blindness together” to provide these websites as resources for learning more about our organization, people, methods and third-party information and resources and to further the self-directed freedom of blind and visually-impaired people around the world.

Yes. Our site is published on the WordPress Content Management System (CMS) and is maintained with the latest updates to their system. Visioneers | World Access For The Blind does not track, store, share or sell any credit card information on any of its websites or servers. Donations are transacted securely via PayPal and PayPal Giving. You can examine the Privacy Policy for PayPal Services for more information about how they safeguard transaction data.

We maintain a history of email correspondence with donors, students and their family, as well as third parties, including but not limited to, media organizations, event managers and any other contractors who solicit our expertise and services. The only time any contact or case information may be shared is with the express permission of all parties involved, as our students and their achievements are often profiled in articles online and offline and across many radio and TV networks around the world.

CalOPPA (California Online Privacy Protection Act

 

CalOPPA is the first state law in the U.S. to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require a person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals with whom it is being shared, and to comply with this policy.

How does our site handle do not track signals?
